User Guide: Account Termination
You may terminate your LifeStatus account at any time, or is you misbehave, it may be terminated for you (see the Terms of Service for explanations of some of the conditions under which that may occur).
When an account is terminated, all user information is deleted from this system - your user profile, login history, any messages, etc. Deletion of this information is immediate and, except in rare instances such as when the server crashes an is reloaded from a back-up tape, permanent. There is no "undo" function for un-deleting your account.
Once an account is deleted, you should immediately remove the Web page icon from your home page. It will display as a "broken graphic" icon - or if, by chance, someone creates a new account and is assigned the same number, it may show someone else's status instead.
Failure to delete the icon from your Web page will generate a lot of 404 errors on this system, which in turn will lead the sysop to ban your webhost, which in turn may affect otherwise innocent parties. And so, please be prompt in taking care of this last detail.
