User Guide: Account Creation

Creating a LifeStatus account is pretty simple - go to the "Create Account" page, enter your details, and click submit. You should receive an e-mail message within a few minutes with your account number and further instructions.

Please Note that the user account is a completely random string of characters. There's a chance it may spell out something obsecene or otherwise objectionable. If that happens, please know that it's just happenstance - nothing personal - and your best recourse is to terminate the account and try again.

Once you've created an account, there are a few tasks you should attend as soon as possible:

1. Log into your account (if you fail to log in, it will be deleted after three days)
2. Add whatever information you desire to your user profile
3. Modify the status page settings
4. Get the Web page icon code and add it to your home page

After that, all you need to do is remember to log in regularly to keep your status up to date. The system is set up to send you a reminder if you fail to log in for three consecutive days, then once a week after that. Accounts that have been abandoned (no login for over six months) will be deleted.
