User Guide: Account Management
To manage your account information, use the "Login" link in the sidebar.
Once you have entered your user account and password, yo uwill have access
to all account management functions.
You will also notice that the color-scheme of the page changes from blue
(public interfaces) to red (user interfaces) - following some links may take
you back to the public side of the site, at which point the color scheme
will change back to blue, and you will need to log in again to access your
account information.
The functions in the account management section are:
- Get Web Page Icon
- Use this link to get the HTML code to add to your Web page. The various
styles of LifeStatus icons are also shown here. For more information,
see the Web Page icon page.
- Suspend Life Status
- If you expect to in a location where you do not have Internet access
and cannot update your LifeStatus icon, specify a date on which you
plan to return so that your icon indicates that you are incommunicado
(rather than dead) and reminder/notice e-mails are not sent. For more
information, see the Suspended Animation
page.
- User Information
- You may update any information associated with your account, with the
exception of the e-mail address. For more information, see the
User Information page.
- Status Page Settings
- Specify which information to display on your status pages for users who
click through from your LifeStatus icon. For more information, see the
Status Page page.
- Message Center
- Compose, edit, or delete e-mail messages that will be sent out in the
event that you do not update your LifeStatus. For more information, see the
Messaging page.
- Terminate Account
- Delete your LifeStatus account and all the data stored on this stored on
this system regarding your account. For more information, see the
Account Termination page.
