Is it possible for me to choose my own account number?

No. Account numbers are totally random, and are set up to correspond to a specific algorithm to prevent system abuse. If you feel the need to have something cutesy to display on your status page, use the "user name" field for that kind of nonsense.

What if my account number spells out something objectionable?

Your account number is a completely random string of characters. There's a chance it may spell out something obsecene or otherwise objectionable. If that happens, please know that it's just happenstance - nothing personal - and your best recourse is to terminate the account and try again.

It's recommended that you do this even if you are totally cool with having an account number that may be considered obscene or objectionable by others, as I may delete such accounts to prevent this site from getting an "adult" rating.
